Description

Paracetamol Infusion IP 1 wv is a sterile clear and colorless intravenous IV solution containing Paracetamol 10 mgmL It is used for the shortterm treatment of moderate pain and fever especially when oral or rectal administration is not possible It provides rapid onset of action through direct delivery into the bloodstream.

Each mL contains Paracetamol 10 mg making a 100 mL bottle equivalent to 1 gram of Paracetamol

Indications

Management of fever antipyretic

Relief of mild to moderate pain eg postoperative dental musculoskeletal

As part of multimodal analgesia for reducing opioid use

Dosage  Administration:

Route Intravenous infusion over 15 minutes

Adult dose Typically 1 g 100 mL every 46 hours max 4 gday

Pediatric dose Based on body weight consult physician

Do not mix with other drugs or infusions

Storage : Store below 25C

Do not refrigerate or freeze

Protect from light

For singleuse only discard unused portion

Precautions:

Do not exceed recommended dose

Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment

Monitor liver function with prolonged use

Contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic dysfunction or hypersensitivity to Paracetamol
