Description:

Clarithromycin Injection BP 500 mg is a macrolide antibiotic used for the treatment of moderate to severe bacterial infections, especially in cases where oral therapy is not suitable. It contains Clarithromycin, which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, making it effective against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and atypical pathogens.

This formulation is supplied as a sterile lyophilized powder and must be reconstituted and diluted before administration via intravenous infusion.

Indications:

Lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)
Skin and soft tissue infections
Sinusitis
Otitis media
Mycobacterial infections (in combination therapy)
Other infections caused by susceptible microorganisms

Infuse over 60 minutes

Warnings & Precautions:

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to macrolides
